ABOUT ME

Vera Kace, is a Lisbon based visual artist who focus in oils and watercolours. with background and degrees in graphic design, painting and drawing. Lately her main focus is on teaching painting and taking a certificate on junguian analytical psychology course. Junguian psychology, symbology and myth interpretation are central tools on her approach to painting and serve as a tool to her classes and mentorships where students are taught to unlock their creative self through traditional painting tecniques and the power of Archetypes and mythology. In 2020 she had her first solo show with Balcony gallery and later on a few collective exhibitions in Hungary, China and across Portugal.

ABOUT MY WORK

My works usually explore themes of collective and individual hallucination but also the connection with nature (inner and outer) . In an individual sense I explore dream states, introspection, alternated states of consciousness and identity. In a collective way my body of work touches on alienation, the societal spectacle, critique to celebrity culture and the dystopian characteristics of society.
